Competition Update
We have missed out on some competition matches due to wet weather. It’s only early days and we have mixed results. Premier League is undefeated so far and all other matches I have seen the tennis has been great to watch.
The Saturday morning green ball and Sunday afternoon teams are playing some amazing tennis.
Best match of the weekend last Sunday was between N 3 (Alex B and Tyko W) who played yellow ball for the first time against W 2, 2 older boys, the clapping during the match from both sides was pleasing to hear – all positive.
The rallying in the new Orange ball Hot Shot League was also amazing – a great improvement with all matches most entertaining to watch. The longest rally last week was by Harry L and Harry W 20 hits.
Let’s see if anyone can beat that this week. Most improved last Sunday were Tom S, Tom G ,Sam H and Toby N. Keep it up.
**If anyone who played in Hot Shot Leagues a few years ago and still has the coloured shirts that were given out, am I able to get them back and give them to the new players as you will all have grown out of them and it will great to see them in team colours.

This Sunday from 2 – 3 pm I would like to hold an introductory RED BALL Hour where the children can firstly have a hit with the parents followed by an introduction to a round robin with scoring. PLEASE let me know as soon as possible if you want to join in. It’s a one off where we can discuss best times for those who want to play in a competition in the future.
HOT SHOTS Competitions
Playing competition is an integral part of any child’s tennis development. Not only does competition allow for each player to test their skills, it also facilitates an opportunity to develop their problem solving skills, team work skills and is easy way to measure the player’s improvements. We have a range of competition options available that can suit each child’s needs and experiences.
